Valentine’s Day Sweet Treats

I’m so sad the holiday’s are over. It can be stressful, but very magical watching it through the eyes of a little one. As much as I hated to pack up my Christmas décor, I am ready to pull out and decorate for Valentine’s day. Below are some easy recipes and quick Valentine treats to whip up for a special someone at home.

Sweets & Treats for Someone Special

Cupids Crunch

The best part of this fun snack is that there is no right way to make it. Add in your favorite pink, white, and red ingredients to make a crunchy snack. I like to mix salty and sweet together.

  • cinnamon chex
  • craisins
  • X and O’s pretzels (snack bags)
  • peanut butter M&M’s
  • vanilla almond granola
  • caramel popcorn

Air Fryer Poptarts

I am usually not a huge fan of poptarts, but these are delicious and so easy to make using your air fryer. I use a PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer. It is by far the best air fryer I have ever owned. You can make your own pie crust, but I bought pillsbury pie crust. You can shape your poptarts into rectangles, but I decide to use a heart shaped cookie cutter for Valentine’s. After you roll out the dough, make your desired shaped, and put a filling into one side. I went with a raspberry jam from a local farm. Once your filling is inside, take one of the sides and press them together. You want to make sure it is entirely sealed or your jam/ filling will spill out. Once pinched together I took a fork and made an imprint around the edges to give it a cleaner look. Add egg wash on top and bake in the air fryer at 360 degrees for 8 minutes. I cooked two at a time. Let cool, add icing, and then decorate with sprinkles.

  • pillsbury pie crust
  • valentine’s day sprinkles
  • egg wash
  • icing

Heart Brownies

My daughter loves everything in mini version, so when I saw this silicone heart mold, I knew I had to do something with it. I baked the brownies in the mold as I would normally bake brownies. The trick is to freeze them before you pop them out! This will ensure that they will keep their shape. I then drizzled white chocolate on top and added sprinkles. Super quick and easy dessert.

Does anyone else hate melting chocolate?

I found a brand called chocomaker that makes chocodrizzler’s candy wafers. You heat the bag it comes in and then you simply cut the tip of the bag. Saves so much time and was just the right amount needed.

  • brownie mix (store bought)
  • melting wafers

Rice Krispie Treats

What kid doesn’t love marshmallows? Use the basic rice krispies treat recipe and add heart shaped sprinkles. I went a step further and used a cookie cutter to cut out heart shaped rice krispies!

  • rice krispies cereal
  • marshmallows
  • sprinkles
  • cookie cutter

DIY Valentine Cookies

I bought Target’s valentine’s day sparkle cookie kit, added some sprinkles, icing, and put it all into a small caddy for my daughter to do. She loved decorating the cookies and had a blast.
