Are you looking for some fun and easy ways to celebrate the holidays? Here are some Christmas activities, treats, and ideas that your toddler will be sure to love!
Pajamas
What better way to get into the holiday spirit than with new festive jammies! I always love the holiday collections from posh peanuts, little sleepies and lev baby. They are all unbelievably soft and my girls love sleeping in them! Holiday books and new pajamas are a fun way to kick start the month of December.
Decorate the Playroom
Add some decor to the playroom to create some Christmas Magic! I always wait until after Christmas to snag some deals on cute signs and save them for the following year. I always get asked about this kitchen. It is a corner kitchen from kid kraft and has held up very well. We got it for the girls for Christmas a few years ago and it is still a hit. They play with it all the time. I did update the backsplash with floral scrapbook paper. If you are interested in doing this, just measure, cut, and glue/ tape!
Holiday Snack and Christmas Treats
Chex Mix
The best part about chex mix snacks is that you can add any ingredients you like! I like to add:
- peanut butter M&M’s
- cinnamon chex mix
- pretzels
- caramel popcorn
Picky Eater? Try a Snack Tray!
My toddler can be very picky about what she eats. I have found giving her choices about what she eats and using fun trays encourages her to try new foods. I like to put the foods in silicone ice trays. You can find these almost anywhere and they are great portion sizes for toddlers
Oreo Truffles
Oreo truffles are always my go to desert. They are quick and you only need 3 ingredients! Simply use a blender to crush the oreos, add in 8 oz of cream cheese, roll into balls, and chill. Once chilled, dip them into white chocolate and add sprinkles.
- oreos
- creamcheese
- white chocolate
- sprinkles
Activities
Cookie Decorating Caddy
Buy a holiday cookie decorating kit and put it in a little caddy. I usually buy a few extra icing tubes and add some extra sprinkles. My daughter loves doing these for each season/ holiday. You can get the little caddy’s from the dollar store!
Advent Calendar
There are so many different types of advent calendars available. Pick one that your little is interested in. It will give them something to look forward to each day.
Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday. Enjoy all those little moments with your family.
